Pilot Recall was born out of firsthand experience studying for CASA theory exams. We know what it takes because we're going through it ourselves.
Pilot Recall is an Australian-built study platform designed specifically for student pilots preparing for their CASA theory exams. We use spaced repetition, the same scientifically-proven learning method used by medical students and language learners, to help you remember more in less time.
Every flashcard, quiz question, and explanation in Pilot Recall is written and cross-checked against official CASA publications and current Australian aviation regulations. Our content covers all seven theory subjects across RPL, PPL, and CPL licence levels.
Whether you're starting your RPL at a local flying club or working through your CPL at a major academy, Pilot Recall adapts to your strengths and weaknesses so you spend your study time where it counts most.
Spaced repetition is proven to improve long-term retention by 200-400% compared to traditional study methods. Our SM-2 algorithm schedules each card at the optimal time.
Every fact, figure, and regulation in our content is cross-checked against official CASA publications, AIP, and current Australian aviation law before being published.
Available on web, iPhone, iPad, and Android. Your progress syncs across all devices so you can study at home, at the airport, or between flights.
Co-Founder & Developer
Currently studying at the Qantas Group Pilot Academy, Bodhi built Pilot Recall to solve a problem he experienced firsthand. The sheer volume of CASA theory content and the lack of modern, effective study tools designed for Australian student pilots left a gap that needed filling. With a background in software development and a passion for aviation, he combines both worlds to build the study platform he wished existed when he started.
Co-Founder & Commercial
With a background in leadership and training, he brings hands-on experience in building and leading teams, and a genuine ability to break down complex skills and knowledge into clear, practical learning. He drives Pilot Recall's commercial strategy, flight school partnerships, and marketing, combining his experience in developing people with a focus on making aviation study more accessible for every student pilot in Australia.
“We believe every student pilot deserves access to effective, modern study tools, not just photocopied question banks and outdated textbooks. Pilot Recall is our answer to that.”
